    Informatie 'Wiking' vrijwilligers per land/streek:

Nederland: The Netherlands: The Standarte 'Westland' in June 1941 counted 631 Dutchmen. In September the number had grown to 821.

Flanders: Clear numbers in this case are unknown to me. Although certainly hundreds must have served in the SS-Standarte 'Westland'.

Norway: On June 22nd 1941, 294 Norwegians were counted in the SS-Standarte 'Nordland'.

Denmark: SS-Standarte 'Nordland' June 1941 counted 216 Danes.

Switzerland: Unclear, probably 50 in 'Wiking' while other sources name the very dubious number of 800 men.

Finland: 421 Finns were registered in 1941 as 'Wiking' volunteers. In 1942 a Finnen Battalion was added to the Division.

Sweden: Unclear, probably a few dozen.

Estonia: The Estonians served in the SS-Panzer-Grenadier-Abteilung 'Narwa' of the 'Wiking' division.

Wallonia: The Walloon volunteers served in the SS-Sturmbrigade 'Wallonien' that played an extensive part in the breakout of the Tsjerkassy pocket in 1944.

Volksdeutschen: Many losses were compensated by the arrival of Volksdeutschen from the Balkans.
